Herbal Infusions
Put a handful or two of dried herb into a mason jar. Fill the mason jar to the very top with boiling water. Infuse overnight, or at least four hours. Strain, composting herbs, and drink either cold or hot. Refrigerate any extra for the next day!

Infused Herbal Oils
Pick a jar of desired herb on a very dry day, at least 48 hours after the last rainfall. Chop herb and cover with room temperature olive oil so all the herb is submerged under the oil. Screw lid on securely and label your jar. Place in a dark, cool place for six weeks. Strain, bottle and label your oil and keep it in the refrigerator. For external use only!

Herbal Salves
Gently heat your infused herbal oil in a thick–bottomed pot over a low burner or flame. Add grated beeswax, about 1 tablespoon per ounce of oil. Place a spoon of oil in the freezer for a minute or two to check the consistency. Adjust as necessary, adding more infused oil or more beeswax!

Tinctures
Pick a jar of desired herb on a dry day, or dig roots, ideally after the first frost. Chop herb and cover with your choice of alcohol (80 proof or higher) to the top of the jar. Screw lid on securely and label your jar. Place in a dark, cool place for six weeks. Strain, bottle and label your tincture.

Herbal Vinegars
Pick a jar of desired herb on a dry day. Cover with your choice of vinegar to the top of the jar. Screw lid on securely and label your jar. Place in a dark, cool place for six weeks. Strain, bottle and label your vinegar, or use it as is!

Herbal Honeys
Pick a jar of desired herb on a dry day. Chop and cover with your choice of honey to the top of the jar . Screw lid on securely and label your jar. Place in a dark, cool place for six weeks. Strain, bottle and label your honey.

Glycerites
Pick a jar of desired herb on a dry day. Chop and cover with 100% pure vegetable glycerin to the top of the jar. Screw lid on securely and label your jar. Place in a dark, cool place for six weeks. Strain, bottle and label your tincture.
